Compared to the previous model the engineers extracted 35 more horsepower out of the direct-injected, turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four, raising peak output from 265hp to 300 @ 6,500 rpm while delivering the peak torque of 280 lb-ft from almost idling 1,950 rpm. When fired through the 7-Speed PDK, which by the way is a delight to use in this car, the 718 Boxster manages the zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds with the 7-Speed PDK transmission, and a top speed of 275 km/h.
