Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare and detail vehicles within the sales lot
  • Cleaning, and preserving vehicle interior and exterior
  • Inspect vehicles to ensure their appearance meets Weissach’s standards.
  • Organization of supplies and equipment.
  • Comply with required health & safety regulations.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working at a luxury automotive dealership.
  • Efficiency and timeliness in completing work, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Complete tasks on schedule with responsibility and accountability
  • Interpersonal skills and collaboration – work effectively with employees
  • Communication – professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Aptitude for learning and applying new information
  • Valid Driver’s License and the ability to operate a manual transmission
  • Ensure that the highest standards are followed in all aspects of vehicle cleanliness.

Working Environment

  • Frequently manage deadlines
  • Routinely stand during work hours
  • Occasionally respond to emergency situations
  • Occasionally manage stressful situations involving upset or impatient people
  • The work environment necessitates include proper personal protective equipment in keeping health and safety requirements

Weissach, Canada's largest independent Porsche store in Vancouver is looking to add a Porsche Technician to the team!

Position Summary

Reporting to the Service Director, and working cooperatively with all other teams, the Porsche Service Technician will be responsible to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in accordance with factory and retailer standards while working to promote and maintain retailer’s quality standards.

Term: Permanent, Full-Time

No. of Positions: 1

Wage: $36/hr to $40/hr. $36/hr. to start. Annual salary reviews to take place and increases may be possible.

Technical Responsibilities

·        Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Company standards

·        Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and recommend / perform appropriate repair

·        Examine vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order and communicate to Service Advisor

·        Notify the Service Director immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised

·        Clearly and accurately document all work performed

·        Road test vehicles as required or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate

·        Attend and successfully complete training as required by the company

·        Provide apprentices and colleagues with regular and up to date information on technical modifications and innovations on vehicle post training

·        Provide practical instruction and support for any assigned Apprentice Technician

·        Lubricate all moving parts with specified lubricants and conduct regular servicing as instructed and agreed.

·        Inspect fluid levels of power steering, transmission, differential, drain and replace as necessary

·        Replace air filters and pollen filters as necessary

·        Maintain and promote an orderly workspace and ensure your work area and service shop are maintained with clean working habits and organization.

·        Understand and follow all regulations governing disposal of hazardous waste

 

Logistical Responsibilities

·        Maintain the order and cleanliness of work areas, be accountable for all company owned tools

·        Meet all requirements of rules governing automobile repair and consumer protection

 

Position Requirements/Qualifications

·        Minimum of 3 years Porsche brand experience

·        Minimum of 3 years Porsche brand (classic cars) experience

·        Minimum of 3 years Porsche restoration experience

·        Efficiency and timeliness in completing work

·        Complete tasks on schedule with responsibility and accountability

·        Interpersonal skills and collaboration – work effectively with employees and customers

·        Communication – professional written and verbal communication skills

·        Accuracy – complete transactions accurately and maintain records and maintain the integrity of our DMS system

·        Ability to adapt to change – take on additional tasks as required (e.g. urgent requests, teamwork, workload, rush jobs, new technology).

·        Aptitude for learning and applying new information

·        English, written and spoken

 

Working Environment

·       Routinely work with loud noise from the shop

·       Occasionally lift moderate weight

·       Occasionally work outside of regular work schedule

·        Occasionally respond to emergency situations
