Weissach Motorsport Driver Education Track Day @ Area 27

Incredible: This is how we would describe this past weekend. Natural talent and pure adrenaline came forth in all of our drivers and we could not have asked for a better outcome.

This event started late morning on Saturday, May 27th with a majority of our drivers convoying together from the Lower Mainland up to beautiful Osoyoos. With a quick pit-stop in Princeton, the crew travelled further and arrived, mid-afternoon, to the spectacular Spirit Ridge resort. After freshening up and relaxing after a long drive, the group got together in a private banquet hall for a filling, BBQ-style dinner and an itinerary refresh by our crew of skilled instructors.

Early Sunday morning came quickly. After breakfast our group gathered together and traveled, convoy-style, to Oliver, BC – this is where the challenging Area 27 track is situated. After an informative sit-down session with our instructors and the on-site flag team, we were ready to hit the track.

    “Hi there,

I don’t know how you guys keep doing it, but thanks again for another awesome weekend!

I had a fantastic time, learned a lot from the superb instruction and think I drove the best that I have so far on a track.

Looking forward to the next one!

    Thanks again!

The group split up into three sub-groups: novice, intermediate, and advanced. This is necessary to provide an ideal environment for each driving level. The track session started with a slow drive around the daunting Area 27 track. Easing drivers into the route and letting them get to know its 16 corners. Next, drivers were given the opportunity to go one-on-one with an instructor. Hitting the throttle a little harder to get the heart pumping. After a refreshing lunch break – the drivers hit the track again, this time a little harder and a little faster.

For the rest of the afternoon, drivers were given the opportunity to test their limits, safely, alone on the track – always receiving feedback from instructors who were watching closely.

All in all, we received extraordinary feedback from our drivers as well as our instructors who were thoroughly impressed with the level of skill shown by the group.

In addition, please take a moment to view our events calendar and get involved with some of our upcoming events. Our next track day October 12-13th – make sure you keep an eye out for pre-registration because if this one is anything like the last, it will be sure to fill-up quickly.

Finally, from all of us here at Weissach, we would like to extend a huge thank-you to all of our participants and spectators. Without whom this Weissach Motorsport Driver Education Track Day could not have been possible.
