We came together for an early morning (EARLY morning) coffee and light breakfast at our Weissach Showroom on Sunday to watch the last hour of the incredible Le Mans 24hr Endurance Race. We witnessed Porsche take their nineteenth win in the history of Le Mans, as well as their third victory in a row. Cheers of triumph rang throughout our showroom during the last few minutes of the race, an amazing sight to see.
Still riding the high of a Porsche victory, we headed off to another annual spectacle, the Dundarave Porsche Show & Ride in West Vancouver – a fifteen-year Weissach Father’s Day tradition.
The Dundarave Show and Ride for Cystic Fibrosis is a charitable Good Works event by members of the Canadian West Region of the the Porsche Club of America with support from local and corporate sponsors. Held annually, on Father’s Day – the event raises money for medical research to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, a deadly genetic disease affecting mainly children and young adults across Canada. The inaugural Dundarave Porsche Show and Ride was held on June 18, 2006 – Father’s Day – in Dundarave Village in West Vancouver. Since then the event has always been run on Father’s Day.
Porsche upon Porsche, the sheer amount of participants at this years event was a success in itself;100+ Porsche were gawked at by an amazed public and impressed even the seasoned participants. Separated by year and model type, these beautiful vehicles were lined up and displayed from 10am to 1pm in Dundarave Village before driving altogether to the Cypress Bowl.
This event will surely stay a tradition for us for many more years, we can’t wait for the next one! Thank you to everyone who joined us at the 2017 Le Mans 24hr Finish Breakfast & Dundarave Porsche Show & Ride.
