    The Porsche Rally 2017

    Sea to Sky Adventure

We had an awesome time over the weekend at the Porsche Rally. Joined by approximately 80 other incredible Porsches this was sure to be an exciting day.

    An Incredible Start!

Drivers congregated at the Langley Porsche Centre at 8am on Saturday morning before embarking on the spectacular journey ahead. After a hot breakfast and a briefing by the event hosts and local RCMP, drivers kicked off the first annual Porsche Rally. The Weissach Team was out in full force. With our Sales Superstar Mr. Mike Jones full of excitement. Alongside, the Weissach Sales Manager, Kai Hensler and our beautiful Sales and Lot Assistant, Chelsea Harris.

The convoy was led by a rare Porsche 918 Spyder, valued at $2 million.

The rally was met by beautiful weather, stunning landscapes and perfect driving conditions for a drive full of exciting Porsches from across the Lower Mainland.

    The Porsche Rally

The first stop on the day’s journey to Pemberton Airport was Chances Casino in Squamish. Following a similar game plan to this years supercar event, Diamond Rally; drivers stopped at the casino for a bbq lunch and were met by excited spectators eager to check out the cars.

The final convoy up to Pemberton was picturesque, as usual. Some drivers opted to head straight to Whistler, but the die-hards headed straight to the airport for hot laps. Some drivers went head to head on the airport runway, with the highlight being the GT3 Cup Car against the 918 Spyder most of all.

From there, drivers headed back to Whistler and onto the wonderful Four Seasons Hotel. After settling in, drivers met once again for a reception and awards ceremony in recognition of those that put this incredible event together. This was followed by a great buffet dinner at the Four Seasons, many left festively plump and happy. The night ended with many continuing the event at famous Buffalo Bills.

In Support of The Pemberton Firefighters Association

In addition to this being a car rally, it was also a charity event. The Porsche Rally raised funds for the Pemberton Firefighters Association. This organization is made up of men and women of Pemberton Fire Rescue who dedicate themselves for the betterment of the community.

Finally, we had a phenomenal time at this years Porsche Rally. We saw epic cars and friends from across the city and we cannot wait for next years event. Stay up to date with Porsche Rally by visiting www.porscherally.com. We hope to see you join us next year.

A special thank you to all of our Weissach clients that participated in the rally and continue to represent our brand in an incredible manner. 2017 was a thrilling driving season for Weissach and we hope to make next years driving schedule equally as fun – stay tuned!
