Germany’s Ruf used this week’s 2019 Geneva International Motor Show to unveil the latest generation of its GT based on the Porsche 911, specifically the outgoing 991’s GTS variant.

The Ruf GT is aimed at 911 enthusiasts seeking additional performance and something a little different to what Porsche sells.

The main upgrade over the donor GTS is a boost in output, with Ruf’s version delivering 515 horsepower and 476 pound-feet of torque. That’s up on the standard car’s 450 hp and 405 lb-ft.

The power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-6, which is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and spins the rear wheels. Ruf quotes a 0-62 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph for its latest GT.

If you happened to be on B.C.’s Sea to Sky highway, the endlessly twisty and scenic route that runs from Vancouver to Whistler and beyond, during the first weekend of May, you might have seen more than just a few supercars out under the sun. However, what looked like a car spotters dream on that Saturday was actually the Hublot Diamond Rally, a supercar event with a purpose. You couldn’t ever convince me that driving isn’t the biggest draw, but [...]

On our last track day of 2017, we were joined by a phenomenal group of participants and instructors.

    Our Adventure Begins

This event started late morning on Thursday, October 12th. With drivers joining us from across the Lower Mainland, some opted to join us in a convoy up to beautiful Osoyoos. We gathered together in late morning and began our journey. Despite some weather warnings along our route, we encountered nothing but clear skies and a great drive. Along the way, we stopped in Princeton and explored a small pumpkin patch.

We arrived at the Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos with some time to relax before dinner. Some guests opted to visit the spa and those new to the resort toured the grounds.

Dinner was served, buffet-style, at 7pm in the resort’s restaurant. During dinner [...]
